Douglas & Sons (Pvt) Ltd (DSL) was incorporated in 1986, it has a legacy of over 40 years under its founder company Douglas & Sons in the Automotive Spare Parts business. In 1988, the business was expanded into selling automotive batteries and tyres which ignited the growth of the company.
DSL has been marketing imported tyres in Sri Lanka for over 20 years and has been the continuous market leader in various categories for the past consecutive years. DSL is proud to have the sole distributorship in Sri Lanka for world prominence brands such as GT, Continental, Toyo, Hifly and Ovation brand tyres, Panasonic, Livguard, Global, Topwill in automotive batteries, NGK spark plugs, Mitsuboshi fan belts, Excedy,KYB shock absorbers, LUK clutch components, NTN bearings, naming few. Recently DSL started importing of popular Fixtec brand tools and tractor parts and have launched “OKAYA†brand total Solar solution since 2022. Further DSL will be stepping towards their next product expansion with introducing “EV vehicles†to the market.
DSL possess a very strong Dealer network right through out the Island, and at present over 3000 Dealers are being serviced by it’s own distribution system.
We have very experienced and dynamic sales force to cater to the Dealer network. We are in a position to market any renowned brand to add to our existing item range.
In the year 1991 DSL has diversified into manufacturing and exporting stuffed toys industry under its fully owned company called DSL Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. Have 2 factories in Biyagama and Galle BOI industrial zones with more than 1500 employees presently employed.
DSL Lanka offers both organic and conventional soft toys and are, to-date the only Sri Lankan company engaged in manufacturing of organic soft toys.
